NDT Announcements and Initiatives 2023:

As of June 30, 2023, National Disability Theatre’s operations have stopped. The NDT Handbook, a free digital resource published July 1, 2023, is scheduled to remain on this site through June 1, 2024. Over the last five years, it is clear that the work of NDT is not only needed, but encouraged and celebrated by producing theatres, disabled artists, and allies alike. While NDT will no longer exist as a 501c3 organization, the artistry and advocacy of NDT’s mission will go on.Thank you for your support of the work of National Disability Theatre.

National Disability Theatre was an organization centered on the principles of disability justice in our programming that strives to:

• employ professional theatre artists who create fully accessible theatre and storytelling that cultivates authentic, sensitive, and progressive attitudes towards disabled people; 

• change social policy and the nation’s narrative about disability culture;

• provide a guiding model in accessibility for the arts and cultural sector.
